How Trail Hero Supports our Veteran Community

Text

We Support our Troops, all of them. We’ll never be able to thank them enough for their sacrifice, but we can help get them out on the trail. So on Thursday of this event, all Veterans and Active Duty members can bring their wheelers out free to any trail their vehicle is capable enough for. Furthermore, Trail Hero is working with 4Wheel to Heal to enjoy our trail ride as well. If you qualify and have your own rig, bring your military ID or proof of service to the event, we'll match it up with your preregistration and give you a refund for the day. If it is a Late Registration, we'll do our best to fit you in with your friends on a trail that you wish to try. Either way, come out and be our guest.

If you are interested in hitting the trails with our Veterans Run please sign up for the "Veterans Access Day" trail rides Thursday of the event.  This trail will feature a Free Catered Breakfast at 9am, with the trail leaving promptly after with catered lunch on the trail. Trailer parking is available on site.

Below are a couple different programs we work with throughout the year around our Veteran's efforts.

2026 Featured Trail: The Fallen & The Fallen Lite

Image

Text

This trail was built by a couple local Veterans who wanted to give back to their fallen brothers and sisters, with obstacles dedicated to fallen soldiers from each of the American Conflicts. The main trail is rated a HARD 8 with a couple obstacles at a 9 rating. However there is a shadow trail rated 6 right next to the main trail. If drivers and riders want to give certain obstacles a shot, they can jump in or out of the trail at any point. 10 plaques at 10 obstacles, The Fallen also has a memorial for anyone wishing to leave memories of their friends or family.

Scenery
The scenery is spectacular from almost every part of this run.  To the south, there are slickrock canyons with hoodoos and many rock formations.  Sand Hollow Reservoir lies just to the north, with Zion Park in the background.  The lower Hurricane Sand Dunes are just to the east, with Hurricane Cliffs in the background.

Surface
Most of the trail is on the slickrock, with some parts crossing sandy canyon bottoms.  The access and return routes are on bumpy sand trail.  The route from the top of the slickrock is via the Hurricane Sand Dunes, mostly downhill with a few dune climbs.

Trail Details
The Fallen has obstacles dedicated to fallen service members from the follow conflicts: World War 1, World War 2, Korea, Vietnam, Persian Gulf, Desert Storm, Somalia, Afghanistan, Iraq, and a special obstacle dedicated to a specific service member from Utah that was also a wheeler. This trail can be fun for everyone with all sorts of skill levels and vehicles.
