Special Needs Access Day Wednesday, September 30th
Giving up a passenger seat to someone that would never get the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors in this fashion is the goal here. For those that wish to participate, we ask that you supply one front seat in your vehicle on a designated trail to one of our individuals with a mental or physical disability. Most of these people will have never been afforded the opportunity to experience the outdoors, something we all take for granted. This is our way of opening the door for those less fortunate and making the experience of a lifetime available to all.
With our Special Needs Access Program, many participants have hurdles they have to overcome every day. Some are physical, some are cognitive, either way we are going to have a great time! And without Motorized Access to the Outdoors, they would never get to experience the therapeutic benefits that mother nature provides.
How to Get Involved?
Go to the Trail Registration for Wednesday of the event. Select "Special Needs Access Day" and add it to your cart. The fee just helps us cover lunch for you and the participants joining us on the trail. Once you purchase the trail, you will receive a confirmation with instructions on when and where to meet. Generally speaking, the schedule is the same every year.
